The Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon 27 April 2013Over 4,000 participants from around New Zealand and overseas take to the streets of Rotorua to compete in the Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon, 5km and 10km fun runs.

Marathon & Fun Runs
The Rotorua Marathon continues to draw experienced and fresh runners and walkers to its picturesque course around Lake Rotorua. Additional events like the 5km and 10 km fun runs and a mini marathon for school children, allow participants of all ages and abilities to take part. Fancy dress is encouraged and spot prizes awarded. |

The Energy Events Centre
Located in Government Gardens, the start & finish of the Rotorua marathon is outside the centre. The venue has excellent facilities ensuring your marathon weekend is as enjoyable as possible. Showers, huge seating areas & café. There is also footage of the finish line live on the big screen, plus the Memorabilia Posters Exhibition. |

Weekend Activities
The Marathon Weekend includes a number of popular activities including the Friday Night Pasta Party, Prize Giving on Saturday evening with live entertainment and Sunday Breakfast. Entrants and supports can do some fantastic shopping for sports goods and apparel at the ASICS Sports Expo. These events all take place at the Energy Events Centre. |
